What do you see when you look in the mirror?
For me, it depends on the day.
For example, today I see someone old and not particularly pretty.
Not that the two go together – not at all what I am saying. I think you can be older and be gorgeous – like Helen Mirren, for example.
She’s stunning! #total60shottie #goals
What I am saying is today, when I look in the mirror, I see puffy eyes, deepening wrinkles, and a woman who is – today – afraid of failing.
Yes, I know just a couple of days ago I bragged about not having a fear of failing – or aging – anymore. But today I am feeling older and a little uncertain.
I’m tired out by pursuing a dream and not quite getting there. #yet
I’m questioning myself, my abilities, and some of my decisions. Not normal for me, for although I am extremely introspective, I don’t often second guess myself. I mean, I’ll spend way too long reviewing my options, weighing the pros and cons, but once I decide, I don’t look back too much.
I just look forward.
Unfortunately for me today, that means looking into the mirror.
